Up for auction is an excellent Blues LP: Tough Times by Big Joe Williams.

The pressing for sale was released on Arhoolie in 1960.

(Catalog Number: F-1002).

Vinyl is graded at VG+. Very high gloss and several light surface marks.

Jacket is graded at VG. Nice clean graphics. Strong seams and spine. Surface and corner wear. Name written on back cover.

Please see detailed photos to gather as much information as possible about the condition of the items for sale.

I have listed a few more Blues records. Please check all of my auctions and you may find some great music to enjoy!

Grading Notes: Grades I assign for used vinyl/jackets: EX, VG, G. And I use +/- for each. All grades are based on Goldmine Standards. Items in G (+/-) will only be listed if the rarity of the item outweighs the condition.

I grade very conservatively. I know this because I buy records for my own collection on eBay and other sites and I am often horrified when a record described as Mint or Near Mint arrives and I open the package to discover visible marks and sometimes even scratches that can be felt. On a regular basis I receive items described as EX that I wouldn’t even consider to be VG.

I don’t assign M or NM grades to any used item. It is my opinion that items in this condition do not exist outside of the factory in which they are made.

All grading is visual unless otherwise noted. In addition to assigning the Goldmine grade, I do my best to note all imperfections that I observe. In rare cases I play grade items that I expect will be of high interest, especially if their visual grade is lower than VG+.

Here is how my grading scale roughly corresponds to a scale of 1 through 10.

10 – Mint (M): not assigned for any item

9.5 – Near Mint (NM): not assigned for used items

9 – Excellent Plus (EX+): this is where my scale begins for used items

8.5 – Excellent (EX)

8 – Excellent Minus (EX-)

7 to 7.5 – Very Good Plus (VG+)

6 to 6.5 – Very Good (VG)

5 to 5.5 – Very Good Minus (VG-)

I generally don’t sell anything below here unless rarity outweighs condition

4.5 – Good Plus (G+)

4 – Good (G)

3.5 – Good Minus (G-)

3 or lower – Fair to Poor

Shipping Notes: I ship all LPs in heavy duty LP mailers reinforced and properly padded. If an item isn't sealed I always remove inner sleeves containing the records from the outer jacket and place both items into a poly sleeve to avoid seam splitting and minimize the risk of damage during transit. If a printed inner sleeve is used, I will typically place the record in a plain white sleeve and include the printed sleeve alongside it, so that it doesn't split during transit.  I've had customers describe my packaging as "bomb proof" but the fact is, I'm a buyer too and I know the disappointment of receiving a poorly packaged LP with a jacket that was damaged in transit, so I just take a little extra time and care so that you don't have to worry.

Shipping within the US is $4. Shipping to Canada is $18. Shipping to the rest of the world is $24.

I will combine shipping to save you money on multiple purchases. The way the shipping discounts work is that you pay for the most expensive item and then you pay 25% of the shipping costs for each additional item. To make use of combined shipping, wait until you’ve made all of your purchases before checking out. Then use eBay’s cart/checkout method and the discount will be automatically applied!

Thanks for looking. Check my feedback and bid with confidence. My primary goal is to make sure every customer is 100% satisfied. Enjoy your vinyl!!
