AHDN UK 1st pressing on the UK Parlophone label from 1964. Matrix -3N/-3N. Stampers 2-GA/3-RT. Chubby font used on the labels which is consistent only with the very 1st Issue. The record comes house in an original Ernest J Day printed cover. Also included is the original rice paper Emitex inner sleeve. 100% original and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) Remains in terrific condition, particularly given its age, and has clearly been looked after with great care and attention. Under close inspection I can only see a couple of very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with absolutely superb clarity. Interference is very minimal although there's a wee bit of very light crackle creeping into the high-end on 'Can't Buy Me Love'. But that's really the only vaguely noticeable defect. Playback is of a very high standard and would be pretty difficult to better....
Cover (Ex-) Again looks in beautiful condition...a lovely shiny front and a rear that does not suffer the usual ravages of ageing. But please note there are a couple of light coffee stains - a pity because without these this would be one hell of a well preserved cover. Needles to say it's still staggeringly well preserved. Flipbacks are all perfectly intact and there's no edge wear at all. The spine is also well above average with only one tiny knock. Overall the cover also has a great rigidity feeling very much like a newly manufactured cover.
Emitex (Ex) In great condition. No splits, no markings, just some light ageing.
