QUATERMASS ORIGINAL FIRST ISSUE A-1/B-2 UK 1970 HARVEST RECORD LABEL VINYL LP, IN FRONT AND BACK GARROD & LOFTHOUSE GATE-FOLD SLEEVE WITH HARVEST INNER BAG, CATALOGUE No SHVL 775.

Quatermass is an album by British progressive rock band, Quatermass, first released in May 1970. It has been described as "a keyboard dominated chunk of heavy progressive rock... a popular part of the eccentric Harvest label. Based around organ, bass and drums, Quatermass is regarded as a quintessential British prog rock album, destined to remain a cult classic and also one of the first albums in the vein of progressive metal. Overall, the album is well-rounded, technically competent and complex, yet retaining a distinctive swing time rhythm as would be expected from a trio that were at their core a strong rhythm section. Throughout, the album flows easily from mid-tempo rock to avant-garde instrumental to bluesy soundscapes.

This is a first issue of the very rare self titled Quatermass UK Album Release from 1970. The Vinyl LP is on the original Harvest Record  Label.

Both record labels are in immaculate Near Mint condition, beautiful, bright and undamaged record labels with just a couple of light play signs.

  Side 1 matrix’s, SHVL 775 A-1.

  Side 2 matrix, SHVL 775 B-2.

   Side 1 Mother Stampers. 1 M. and Side 2. 1 M.

Both sides of the heavyweight vinyl LP are in beautiful Near Mint condition, super clean and bright vinyl surfaces to both sides, a very well cared for LP.

The LP plays through both sides with a clear and beautiful sound quality .

The LP comes in it’s original Harvest bag, and is protected in it’s original front and back laminated, Garrod & Lofthouse gate-fold sleeve.

This sleeve is a very nice example without any major damage and is in Excellent Plus condition, no seam splits or tears, just a couple of light corner bumps and a few laminate pinches but absolutely nothing major.

This is a very rare album and a very nice example of this original 1970 Stereo Quatermass Album.
