The Charlatans: Some Friendly LP

Classic debut album from the Charlatans released at the height of the baggy, Madchester scene. Purchased by me on release from Piccadilly records in Manchester in my student days. It has been kept in my record collection and we'll looked after ever since. I have kept it in a sleeve protector so it's still in lovely condition.

It's an A1/B1 first pressing and I just cleaned it in my professional record cleaning machine with the best record cleaner available in my opinion (L'Art du Son). It is now ready for the next person to really enjoy.

I just played through both sides on my Project Debut Carbon turntable using an Ortofon 2M Blue stylus and it sounds superb (especially when cranked up as the sound stage really opens up!). Just the slightest minimal light warm crackle occasionally on the run ins which is to be expected on a record this age. No annoying loud clicks and pops, just that warm crackle which to me is the sound of and why we love vinyl!

I would say and I remember this from when I bought it, it doesn't sit absolutely perfectly flat on the turntable.. it's not really warped, but you can notice it's not dead flat when it spins round. It was like this when I bought it, but it didn't bother me enough to replace it at the time as it makes absolutely no difference to the excellent sound quality and is very slight. I'd say about 50% of my collection of thousands of records do not sit entirely flat, but I only mention this to make you aware. Absolutely no affect on the sound so you can buy with confidence.
