On Record Store Day 2016, Phish released “Hoist”, the band’s fifth full-length studio album, as a limited, individually numbered, 180g 2-LP orange splatter colored vinyl set. This is number 3789/5000
Hoist was recorded on 24-track 2″ reels in October-November 1993 at American Recording Co. in Calabasas, California. In September 2015, Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering cut the lacquers from the 1/2″ flat master reels for the vinyl edition, (the colored version of which is this release). Each LP includes a free MP3 download of the album transferred from the vinyl.
Brand new and factory sealed, HOWEVER, the top edge of the cardboard sleeve has an abrasion, as if it rubbed against something during manufacturing. The cardboard along the top edge is worn thin per the photos, and has a small split in the middle. Record is otherwise unopened and unplayed.
