Animals a 1st issue on the UK Harvest label from 1977. Matrix -3/-5. Stampers 1-GHO/1-RGR. The record comes housed in an original heavy card gatefold sleeve with wide spine. Also included is the original round cornered inner sleeve. 100% original and 100% complete - and this copy plays supremely well.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) Is a treat to behold, looks shiny like new, and clearly has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of very slight marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with excellent clarity and minimal interference. We only detected some light static on the intro to side 2 and just the faintest touch momentarily in a couple of tracks. Audio quality is absolutely superb. These early copies are absolutely unbeatable for audio performance. This is the perfect way to hear this Pink Floyd classic.
Cover (Vg+) A real difficult one to find in great condition because the sleeves were so prone to wear. But this one has survived the years in great condition. Nice and shiny front and back exhibiting only some light handling wear. Please note on the top-left of the rear there is a sticker removal mark which someone has coloured in black - so it's difficult to make out in the photos. There is some light edge wear, but nothing really that significant. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and remains a very nice example indeed.
Inner (Vg+) One slight side split which has seen an internal repair job. But otherwise in excellent condition. The LP will come housed in an Exstatic inner sleeve to protect it.
