A 1st issue of the WALL on the UK Harvest label in 1979. Matrix 5/5/3/3. Etchings 'TML'. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. Please note the original 1st issue cover is easily identified by the absence of the band members names in the brick directly above the 'baby in the cell'. All later reissues mention the band members names in purple in this brick. The original sticker is also present on the front. In addition thre's the original round cornered inner sleeves with notches at the top. So, this copy is 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg+/Vg/Vg+/Vg+) In superb condition and has clearly only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection there are a couple of lights marks on each side - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an VERYGOOD+ level of playback with with a couple of deviations. The audio comes across with great clarity and only occasional interference. THE WALL is full of what is often very low-key audio so best to look for a copy that has been well cared for. The majority of this Lp plays really very well indeed. Just a touch of light static in places. The only deviations are on side 2. Track 1 - is a bit crackely. Track 4 - couple of pops observed. Track 7 - bit of crackle in the outro. Other than this is a very nice copy which has been cared for.
Cover (Vg+) In very nice shape and someone has clearly looked after it down the years. Often found with a great deal of fading this example has escaped most of that. The exterior and interior are both nice and white. Yes, there are a couple of marks here and there, but nothing that really stands out. Edge wear is light and overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inners (Vg+) No splits. Touch of ageing in places. One slight damage to one corner.
