Blue Apple, poison's second and last album, utilize further than their fuzzy, trippy debut, attempting more progressive flourishes with the addition of keyboards. Free's mellotron is of parameter from the off, with a ' Tron flute melody running through the title track, and strings on the other credited tracks.

The music is typical mid - 70s mix of lighter and heavier rock, with a hav­ing blues base and rampaging organ and guitars are all over. The high-speed purple/HEEP-ish "everything's Alright" is even complete with speed King-style classical organ intro. (Drago Museveni/surfingtheodyssey.blogspot.de)

This is the first official and legally reissue on vinyl of poison's second album 'Blue Apple' from 1974 on their second album poison added a keyboard player and a second guitarist. Still hard rocking the music became a lot more progressive with wonderful guitar riffs and brilliant keyboard play. The album is not a typical krautrock of offer but more British hard rock oriented but with that special German vein which we all love. Despite their great talent, the band didn't last long and called it a day at the end of 1974 "Blue Apple" is a truly master piece.
