An original 1972 pressing of Revolver on the UK Parlophone label [around 6 years after 1st release]. Matrix 2/2. Please note Gramophone is mentioned in the perimeter label text and this was discontinued in 1973 - so it's quite easy to date this LP. Also worth bearing in mind that the early 70's Lp's were still tube-cut just like the original 60's versions - but they represent a far more affordable route to decent quality audio. The vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover with only two flip-backs. This would have been from a transitional period where they were about to phase out external flip-backs altogether.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In very nice condition and have only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is minor and infrequent. All we detected was a touch of light static momentarily in a couple of tracks, but even this is very minor. Overall this is a terrific rendition of Revolver at a very accommodating price.
Cover (Ex) Has clearly been cared for down the years. That iconic front cover is still beautifully white and shiny. There's almost no fading or marking at all. The rear is in very fine form too with only the lightest handling wear. Edge wear is very light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and remains a really nice example of that harder to find 2 flipback version.
