An original mono 1st press of WTB on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 1N/1N. Stampers 1-HH/1-MA. Please note the publishing credit for the track 'MONEY' is 'Jobete' - indicative of very 1st press. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original dark-toned Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% original and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex for Audio) Ok, so looking at the labels it is clear this 55 year old record has seen a fair bit of use. But here's the deal...these early Parlophone copies were pressed super-heavy and are astoundingly robust. So, don't write this LP off on a visual label inspection. And here's why... Under close inspection there are a few light marks - but nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with very good clarity. Yes, I have to admit it I was a bit surprised myself..!.But it really does play back to a very decent standard. Good clean Mono audio. Interference is minimal. All we detected was a touch of light static in a couple of tracks and even that is very minor. So, there you have it - a testament to EMI pressing quality....A true 1st pressing that still plays back superbly well and priced to go!!
Cover (Vg+) In nice condition and that iconic front cover is the dark-toned version with only half the face visible. Nice shiny front cover with a couple of light creases. The rear is exhibiting some fading, but not excessively so. And a little 'Beatle' addition in the top-right! Edge wear is reasonably light and the text on the spine is still readable. Overall the cover retains great rigidity.
Emitex (Vg+) No splits. A couple of marks and some light fading.
