A very 1st press of Electric Warrior on the UK Fly label from 1971. 'FLY 6' - Matrix A2U/B2U. Stampers 1-GO/2-CT. Etchings 'Pecko Duck'. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original heavy-card Ernest J Day cover - these were the very 1st day of release covers with the red sticker in the top-right. Please note '1st day of issue' copies do not show any publishing credit alterations to the track Jeepster[*]. Also included is the original inner sleeve and the original promotional poster. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In absolutely astonishing condition and has clearly only seen the lightest of use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. This is an absolutely top-level copy....when you've heard a 1st press like this..there is no going back! Perfect reproduction by Mr.Peckham who, once again, has out done himself! Interference - zilcho, nada, zip, nothing absolutely clean as you could hope for. I don't think I can remember more than a couple of crackles throughout the entire record!
Cover (Ex-) In superb condition and it is rare for the 1st issue sleeve to turn up looking anywhere close to this kind of condition. The front is exhibiting only minor handling wear - rather unusual. The rear is in similar condition too with a couple of light indentations in the top right [nothing unsightly]. Text on the spine is still mostly readable. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity..what a beautiful specimen.
Inner (Ex) No markings and light ageing. No splits at all - unusual!
Poster (Ex+) Almost faultless. No splits. Barely any ageing at all. Has certainly never been on a wall.
