A 1st issue of 'Bare Wires' on the UK Decca label from 1968. Matrix 1A/1A. Stampers 1-BB/1-BH. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Mono cover printed by Robert Stace. Also included is the original late 60's Mono Decca inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Cover (Ex) In absolutely superb condition and has clearly been carefully looked after down the years. A lovely shiny front with only a touch of laminate lift down the extreme left side. The opening side of the gatefold is in really top condition retaining all its original rigidity and exhibiting very little wear at all. The interior is in great condition too. The rear is nice and shiny with just a touch of ageing in the top-left sector. The spine is 100% intact.
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) In great shape and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks - one small one is just feelable. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations. Intros and inbetweens are quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. The only deviations from a very decent level of playback are a few crackles in track 1 [nothing invasive] and a few ticks in track 4 caused by the above mentioned small mark. Other that we are taking a real nice player. These early mono's are as lush as anything..
Inner (Ex) No splits just a signature in the top-right.
