An original 1st press of Blind Faith on the UK Polydor label from 1969. Matrix A1/B1. Please not record labels are consistent with 1st pressing. Small p publishing date '1969' and the labels are flat all the way across - i.e. there's no ridge. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original heavy card gatefold cover printed by MacNeill. Now, these early covers are easily identifiable from the heavy card and the fact that they have a piece of card on the right which forms a pocket. Also included is the original inner sleeve date coded to Nov-1969 [11.69]. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex+) In absolutely superb condition and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of microscopic marks. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Audio quality is absolutely stunning thanks to the fact this a nice early pressing and it is a low-mileage copy. Interference is almost totally absent. All we could detect was a couple of crackles [literally] in the first track of each side and then very little else the whole way through. It plays very very clean. Even in the drum solo at the end of 'Do What You Like' the drumming/percussion can be heard in total silence. Nice!
Cover (Ex-) These covers often turn up in pretty poor shape, but this example has survived the passage of time in fine form. The front is nice and clean without the usual heavy creasing. The rear is in similar condition with just one tiny stain in the clouds. The interior looks great and has escaped the usual fading - just a touch of handling wear here and there. There's a bit of edge wear, but the text on the spine is still mostly readable. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) No ageing, splits, or marks.
