An original 1st stereo press of Let It Bleed on the UK Decca label. Matrix 1W/5W. Stampers 1-I/1-BH. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Robert Stace cover with the black poster sticker on it. Also included is that original poster and also the original blue stereo inner sleeve. Please note on early copies of LIB the inner sleeve credit to the 'London Bach Choir' is still legible - a month or two later these were redacted. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In truly superb condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make a few of those very superficial type marks - the sort which are not going to feature audibly. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. I'm pleased to report that this really is a very low-mileage copy. There's no sign at all of back ground interference at all. All we could detect was a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments. Even those very low-key tracks like 'Love In Vain' play very clean. Beautiful audio purity...I really think it would take a very long search indeed even to match this level of preservation.
Cover (Ex) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. Lovely shiny front with only one crease down in the bottom left corner. The sticker is intact and remains in superb condition. The rear, which is so often the problem area with LIB, is in miraculous condition. All we can make out is a couple of tiny marks - nothing overtly obvious. It really is miles above the average condition that usually surface. Edge wear is very light and all text on the spine is perfectly legible. The only thing we can vaguely pick out as problematic is the start of a small tear [6mm] at the spine. Look at the second rear close up shot - find the word 'compatible' and there it is. Very minor and it doesn't appear to be opening - but I need to be clear that it is there. And that is it...quite possibly the best LIB cover I've ever seen. It is a humdinger that's for sure....
Inner (Ex) In super condition. No seam splits. No markings. Just lightest creasing.
Poster (Ex+) Immaculate in every way. One would describe it as 'Factory Fresh'.
