An original 1st press of AHDN on the UK Parlophone label from 1964. Matrix 3N/3N. Stampers 3-TT/3-TH. Please note the labels are consistent with very 1st press - the chubbier font has been use [no earlier version exists]. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Ernest J Day cover - it is believed these were amongst the very first. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) Wowzers - this really is a stunning looking copy and has clearly only seen very light use. Under close inspection we struggled to make out a single mark. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are very quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. This really is a very well preserved record and you can hear in the resolution delivered and excellent transparency. Interference is very minimal. All we could detect was a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments. It really does sound superb...
Cover (Ex-) This cover really has been looked after down the years. The only criticism you could level at it is that there's a touch of ageing showing on the rear. In all other respects this a very very nice specimen. Lovely shine front with barely a crease. No writing or marks on the rear - just a touch of light ageing. Edge wear is very light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and remains a very nice example of this early variation.
Inner (Ex-) Lightest of ageing. One side split has been taped up neatly.
