An original 1st press of Zep III on the UK Red & Plum Atlantic label. Matrix A5/B5. Etchings 'So Mote it Be'..etc.  Please note 1st press is denoted by the very 1st cut 'A5/B5 matrix'. It is possible to find an earlier version of the label mentioning 'peter grant', but this copy would have been available immediately after - still during the first month of release. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Ernest J Day Deluxe gatefold with working wheel. Also included is the original 'plastic bag warning' inner sleeve date code to month of release October 1970 [1070]. So 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex+) In superb condition and has only seen very light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ of playback. This is exactly the sort of standard a collector would be looking to track down. Very very clean playback with no aberrations lurking anywhere. Needless to say the red & plum copies delivery top-level audio and that's why they're so sought after. Interference, thankfully, is practically non-existent. We could didn't detect more than a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments. A very impressive rendition and one that would be nigh on impossible to improve upon.
Cover (Ex) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. Nice white shiny front and back with only a  touch of ageing creeping in at the extremities - as is common. There's no creasing really - or that laminate ripple effect you often find on the rear. The interior is in equally fine condition. The spinning wheel is in full working order. Edge wear is reasonably light and the text on the spine still all legible. A very fine example which has maintained excellent rigidity - on that would be hard to improve upon.
Inner (Ex-) No splits. Just lightly aged.
