This is a 3-LP set worth the attention of any serious collector. It's a promotional item sent to radio stations to sell Gary Owens' 3-hour program of Top 40 Hits,"Soundtrack of the 60s". Gary's voice was familiar to Americans of all ages through radio, television, cartoon characters, and much more. Included in the box are promotional material and sales pitches, along with the schedule of the August 29, 1981 show, including songs and local insert times. (There are small marks by some songs.) The box holding materials and vinyls shows use/storage wear (markings, a few light stains, etc.). Spine side of box is still connected so box opens like a book, and no corners are torn or split. The opening side does gape just a bit, but the box is in really good shape. I play tested both sides of all three vinyls and they play beautifully without skips, skids, or hangups. The show featured both the most famous and the less well known Top 40 hits - really nice mix. Featured songs are by The Beatles, Buffalo Springfield, Guess Who, Simon & Garfunkel, Byrds, Bob Dylan, Moody Blues, Barry Mann, and many more artists. The records belong to a serious collector, have seen little play (usually just used for recording), and have been stored in a nonsmoking home.
