An original 1st press of Face To Face on the UK Pye label. Matrix A2/B2. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover with flipbacks.
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) In nice condition and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection there are a couple of marks either side. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes with great clarity. The audio, for the most part, is quality and clean and very enjoyable. Interference is pretty minor. The only audible issue we ran into was on side 2. There's two or three pops at the start of Fancy and then a couple of ticks in LMQOD. If you can live with these aberrations you will be treated to an excellent rendition for the remainder of the LP.
Cover (Ex) These Kinks covers are a nightmare to find in anything like decent condition. But this example acquits itself admirably. Lovely shiny front with very little creasing and only some modest ageing - which is almost unavoidable. The rear, often the let down, is great condition having almost entirely avoided the ageing process. All flipbacks are secure and edge wear is light. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and totally belies its age.
