A reissue of RTL on the UK MFN's label in 1987. Etching 'Townhouse DMM'. These are amongst the finest pressings of Metallica @45rpm and spread across two LPs. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex+/Ex+) In superb condition and has clearly only seen light careful use. Under close inspection we can see nothing more than a couple of ultra-fine marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. These 45rpm Lps really do have a reputation for great audio - and they certainly deliver it. Speed and power are there, but also great transparency. Interference is totally absent. All we detected were a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments. You can be assured of a fantastic rendition whichever way you look at it.
Cover (Ex) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. Please note the original 'ltd edition' sticker is still present in the top right corner although part of it has been removed. There's barely a crease on the front just super-light handling - ditto the rear. The interior looks great and there are no issues at all. Edge wear is very light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and lies totally flat.
