An original Mono 1st press of No.2 on the UK Decca label. Matrix 1A/2A. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original James Upton flipback cover. Please note very 1st issues went out with the 'Blind Man' text [like this example]. It was deemed offensive and soon pasted-over. Also included is the original Decca inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In great condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks - but nothing troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. There some classic tracks on this Lp and listening to them via an original Mono copy is THE way to do it! Thankfully interference is very minor and infrequent. We didn't detect more than a couple of crackles in the odd isolated moment. A very impressive rendition from one of the STONES early classics.
Cover (Vg) In very nice condition and these early covers are particularly tricky to find in top-condition due to the way they were constructed. The front is in very good condition with a couple of scuff marks a few creases toward the corners. The rear also fairs well and has not been affected by the ageing process as much as many examples you see. Flipbacks are intact and edge wear is reasonably light. There's a bit more along the spine though - most of the text is just about visible. A nice example of that collectable 'Blind man' cover.
Inner (Vg) Bit of light ageing and a couple of slight side splits.
