An original 1st press of Oddity on the RCA label in the UK. Matrix 1E/1E - very 1st cut. Please note this release [or re-release] coincides with Bowie's switch to RCA and relaunch with a reissue of the original Oddity material on Philips from 1969. This 1st press on RCA comes just marginally before Bowie hits the big time with STARDUST in the summer of 1972. There are a couple of important indicators that date this copy to very 1st release on RCA in Q1 1972. Firstly, the publishing credits on the label are still 'TITANIC' - this gets changed to Mainman immediately as he hits it big only a couple of months later. And then early covers make no reference to Mainman on the rear. Sorry, NO poster with this LP.
Vinyl (Ex) In great condition having seen only light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Early pressings on RCA of Bowie really are a 'tour de force' for audio. Beautiful transparency digging deep into the mix. Interference is, thankfully, very minor and infrequent. All we could detect was a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments. A beautiful rendition by any standard.
Cover (Ex-) In lovely condition and has clearly been looked after down the years. Nice clean front and back without the usual surface wear and just a couple of creases. Edge wear is light and the spine is mostly intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. 
Inner (Ex-) No splits one or two age spots.
