An original Stereo 1st Press of Oldies on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 1G/1G. Please note label design is consistent with 1st press - all the publishing dates are positioned on the left-side... from toward the end of the initial chart-run. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original stereo Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is the original generic white 'patents applied for'. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In very nice condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks either side - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is both minor and infrequent. We didn't detect more than a touch of light static in a couple of spots. The one deviation is a few light ticks in Daytripper. Michelle plays well and over all this a very decent/impressive rendition.
Cover (Ex-) Nice shiny front with only a couple of stress creases over on the spine edge. The rear seems to have avoided the worst of the ageing process - just a bit over toward the opening. Edge wear is reasonably light and the text on the spine is all perfectly legible. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Slight ageing and two 1 inch seam splits.
