An original 1st issue of Zep II on the UK Atlantic label. Matrix 2/5. Please note labels are consistent with 1st issue and still show the 'Lemon Song'. This pressing is likely to have originated from toward the end of the initial chart-run. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original E J Day cover with light-brown colouring - indicative of 1st issue. Also included is the original 'plastic bag warning' inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In fantastic condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are pretty much silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Zep II on red & plum is just THE best way to hear this LP - it's the benchmark. This copy is, thankfully, is preserved to a high level and delivers a fantastic rendition. Whether it's Page ripping hell out of his guitar, or those low-key percussive moments - you will be treated to a perfectly clean rendition like no other. Interference is very minor and infrequent. All we could detect was a touch of low-level static briefly in the intro to 'Bring It On Home' [the final track] - and precious little else the whole way through the LP. An absolutely barnstorming rendition which would be difficult to match let alone better. 
Cover (Vg) Doesn't keep to the high standards set by the vinyl, but is still a decent original example. A nice clean front with only that stain in the top left corner. Please note that there's some light undulation on the front - toward the opening - and then again slightly more pronounced on the rear. One would conclude someone's let the cover get damp at some point. No effect on the interior though - very nice condition with no issues at all. There's edge wear, but nothing epic. The spine is showing wear so do not expect to be able to make out the text. Overall the cover still retains very good rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) A bit of ageing, bit no splits.
