PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION IN FULL, FIRST.
An original Mono 1st press of Disraeli Gears on the UK Reaction label. Matrix A1/B1 - very 1st cut from 1967. In addition the labels still mention "Windfall" on side 1 - this is thought to be the very 1st iteration and was revised quickly. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in a fully laminated mono cover - very 1st issue. It's laminated both front and back - please note, importantly, that the format indicator is found on the rear in the top-left corner. Also included is an original lined inner sleeve from the late 60's [not necessarily the original].
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) In great condition despite having seen a moderate level of use. Generally looking in pretty decent condition, but there are a few marks either side - a couple of which are just feelable and do cause issue [detail below]. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAREXCELLENT level of playback with two deviations. By and large a very nice and clean player which delivers some impressive audio. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. But there are a couple of issues caused by marks [mentioned above]. The first is a radial mark in Track 1 - it's just deep enough to cause audible issue. Expect a few clicks, a couple of pops, and the pops sound a bit like brief jumps - but I don't think you actually lose any vocal in this track as far as I can tell. I've tested it and it definitely plays through ok - there's no repeating issue or anything like that. On side 2 [track1], again, a couple of radial marks toward the start of the song. This time it does jump and you lose the first line of the vocal "You thought the leaden winter.." - But that's all and, again, no sign of a repeating issue..it plays through. Providing you can live with these two aberrations the rest of the record plays back very nicely indeed.
Cover (Vg+) Very nice and clean front and back... not perfect - but looks real nice. There's a bit of edge wear as is common on this title. This is most noticeable at the opening and on the spine where the word 'Disraeli' has worn away. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) No splits.Just a touch of light ageing.
