CHICAGO BLUES 10-inch LP: J.B. HUTTO Things Are So Slow CHANCE Masters (JAPAN)
LIMITED EDITION: Only 500 copies pressed. Once these are gone, no more pressings are allowed under the company's contract with Chance Records.
J.B. HUTTO and His Hawks: Things Are So Slow – The Legendary Chance Masters, Space-701 (Japan). Reissued by agreement with the founder of Chance Records, Art Sheridan, this 10-inch LP includes sides from Hutto’s classic Chance 78s from 1954, plus previously unissued tracks including the five-minute-plus harmonica instrumental Mouth Harp Mambo with Earring George Mayweather on harp. Except for Dim Lights, which was dubbed from a record, all tracks are from the original master tapes which were faithfully transferred using the same model of Ampex tape machine that was used on the original sessions at Universal Recording Corporation in Chicago. The label uses a reproduction of the original Chance logo. Liner notes and photos by Jim O’Neal of Living Blues magazine. Compiled by Yasufumi Higurashi an Akira Kochi.
