An original 1st press of BURN on the UK Purple label. Matrix A1U/B1U. Etchings Pecko/Porky/Trisha/Mel. Please note there are a few very early copies with 'Gramophone' in perimeter text, but EMI were right in the middle of a label re-design and the 'EMI' copies were also available within the 1st month of release. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is the original generic white patent no.'s inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In fantastic condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Little to find fault with here...just a clean player from start to finish. Interference is pretty much non-existent. All we could detect were a couple of crackles in a couple of moments. A very solid rendition that would be extremely difficult to improve upon.
Cover (Ex-) In great shape and has been looked after down the years. Very nice clean front with only lightest ring wear just evident in a couple of places. Ditto the rear - very nice condition. Edge wear is mostly light with just a couple of slight knocks on the spine leaving one letter illegible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) No splits, bit of ageing and a bit rumpled.
