An original and difficult to locate discrete 4-channel quadradisc '74 1st issue [3 years after Aqualung first hit the shelves]. The vinyl comes housed in an original heavy-card gatefold cover with Quadradisc logo and a Chrysalis distribution sticker on the rear. Please note there is No lyric inner sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of very light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is both infrequent and very minor - do expect a few light crackles in a couple of spots. No idea how this sounds as four discrete channels, but just listening in two I can certainly, as a minimum, assure you that they did a good of the mastering...it is sweeet! Quality audio and I can hear deep into the mix...very very nice clarity. The only deviation is in the quieter first half of the final track 'Wind Up' - I'm detecting a bit of static..nothing invasive but audible all the same. Expect a thoroughly impressive rendition which will keep you wanting to return for more..
Cover (Ex/Ex+) In super condition and has clearly been looked after through its 45 year life. Lovely clean front and rear with lovely vivid colours and no signs of fading or wear. The interior is pretty much immaculate. Edge wear is very light and the spine is 100% intact. Thanks to the heavy-card design this cover retains tremendous rigidity.
