An original 1st press of Ziggy Stardust on UK RCA from summer 1972. Matrix 1E/1E - very 1st cut. The labels are consistent with 1st issue as they still retain the 'Titanic' publishing credits which were phased out immediately after the initial chart success in favour of 'Mainman'. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Robert Stace cover. Please note that 1st issue covers, like this one, do not make reference to 'Mainman' on the rear. Also included is the original lyric inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg/Vg+) In very nice conition despite having seen a moderate level of use. Under close inspection there are a number of light marks per side, a couple of which are feelable [one of which does cause an issue..see below] . A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly VERYGOOD+ level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are mostly nice and quiet and the audio comes across with very good clarity. Ok, so this copy will not suit a perfectionist, but it still represents a very decent and enjoyable rendition. Do expect a bit of static in a couple of spots per side and the odd crackle and pop in isolated moments - but nothing invasive or persistent. The only deviation is that marks in 'Moonage'. About a third of the way through it causes a brief non-repeating skip. Basically you lose a very small section of vocal in one of the lines ..1 X 'In a Moonage' is inaudible.., which you'd prefer not to have, but it's not a big problem. Please note this item, for the most part, rocks-out and is priced down due to the aforementioned issue.
Cover (Vg) These covers often surface looking quite knackered, but this copy has been looked after and still remains in pretty decent condition. Nice clean front with some of the typical ring wear exhibiting and a bit of creasing in a couple of spots. The rear looks to be in similar condition with only light handling and a couple of creases. Edge wear is pretty light for this title. All text on the spine is pretty much still all legible despite. Do expect a couple of spots of wear on the spine and at the lower  end a contortion where it's been knocked. Overall the cover still retains verygood rigidity.
Inner (Vg-) Not too aged. But two edges have quite large splits.
