Hello everyone,
I'm selling a copy of a Nathan Milstein on a Columbia 1st press. This pressing has a red semi-circle label. A platinum and silver label does not exist for this recording.
Columbia   SAX  5285   Nathan Milstein with Chamber Orchestra.    Bach  Two Violin Concertos  No 1 in A minor & No 2 in E major.   Vivaldi  Two Violin Concertos in D minor & A major
Replay is lovely, clear, precise and with a beautiful quiet background. Just half a dozen times during the forty minutes can the very gentlest of a light tic can be heard. The disc is flat, very black and shiny and the label having almost no sign of wear.
At first visual glance the record and label appear to be near mint. under a strong light the disc has a few very wispy, fine lines comparative to sleeve removal lines plus a couple of v very, very small imperfections.
I visually grade the record as EXC - .  Audibly, I grade the record as EXC + +   The record has been cleaned on a Pristine Vinyl 'ViVac' RCM.
The sleeve has a laminated front without any laminate lift. a couple of creases and just a touch of the lightest wear on the opening edge. The spine and all corners are excellent. The rear of the sleeve has the browning colour of where sellotape has been. The dates
of the two composers have been written under their names. I grade the sleeve as EXC - -
I have graded as honestly as I can and I always rate conservatively as I would not like a buyer to be disappointed. For peace of mind I offer a money-back guarantee if the description is not fitting.
I play my records through all valve amplification and a Hana SL cartridge and Shibata stylus. This combination is very sympathetic towards listening to LPs as it gives an inky black background and it is fully recommended.
I will place the record in an anti-static inner and the sleeve in a good quality poly outer.
Please feel free to ask questions or request further pictures.
The records will be dispatched in a  strengthened cruciform cardboard record mailer.
Kind regards,
Brian.
