An original 2nd issue of Ummagumma on the UK Harvest label. matrix A1/B2 & A2/B3. The labels are consistent with 2nd issue as they exhibit the 'Gramophone' text and show the 'EMI' logo. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original G&L gatefold cover. Also included are two generic white inner sleeves.
Vinyl (Vg/Vg+) In very nice condition and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks per side, one on side 2 is semi-feelable and does sound. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly VERYGOOD+ level of playback with deviations. By and large a decent player which will suit folk looking for a solid original copy. It is not going to trouble the top grades - it just isn't clean enough. Interference is mostly minor and infrequent. Do expect a touch of static here and there in a couple of spots per side. I also picked out a couple of clicks in one spot per side. The only vaguely noticeable deviation is midway through side 2 where the mark mentioned above causes a bit of crackle and a few clicks. None of it is invasive, but do expect it. The remainder of the LP plays very nice indeed and is more than enjoyable. Please note two of the labels have been initialled.
Cover (Vg+) In very nice condition and has been looked after down the years. Front and back are relatively clean with only a few thumbnail creases evident. The interior is ok, but a previous owner has autographed it top right. Edge wear is reasonably light and the text on the spine is all legible. There's just a patch of wear/ageing right down at the foot. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
