An original 1st issue of D&D Layla on the UK Polydor label from winter 1970/71 [whilst still charting]. Matrix A1/B2/A1/B2 - same as 1st cut. The vinyl comes housed in an original MacNeill cover. Please note the cover is genuine 1st issue without any Polydor logo on the front to spoil the artwork. Also included are both of the original 'plastic bag warning' inner sleeves. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAREXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. A really sweet rendition which delivers these tracks in classic fashion. All I could detect was a bit of light of static in a couple of tracks per side. Low-level and nothing invasive or distracting. By and large a great delivery of these classic tracks..
Cover (Ex/Ex+) In great shape and has been really cared for down the years. Very nice clean front with barely a crease visible. The rear looks great with minimal handling. The interior looks great - no issues at all. Edge wear is light and the openings are still sharpish. The spine is well preserved. All text is still legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inners (Ex-) Light ageing and no splits.
