An original 1973 reissue of Zep IV on the UK Atlantic label. This label iteration is the first version to include the new Warners logo.... Matrix A2/B2. Text confirms 'Made In UK' - which later mutated to 'Manufactured'. In addition, over on the left, there's a "v" floating about which is found on the '72 label design and soon disappears in favour of an asterisk over on the right hand side. And 1973 is just two years from the original release date... a really clean copy is more than capable of delivering a super rendition of this Zep classic...
The vinyl comes housed in an original cover with plastic bag warning inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In superb condition and has only seen very light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of very light marks per side. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Lovely clean audio which does a terrific job of delivering this Zep classic with maximum clarity. Intros and inbetweens are pretty much silent. Both quiet slow build passages and intricate complex moments are equally well conveyed. Those low-key tracks like Stairway, California, Evermore - the test tracks - will sort out a good copy from a properly clean high quality one. This copy absolutely nails the acoustic tracks with a perfectly quiet background. Just think...pretty much perfectly clean...less than two years from the original master of STAIRWAY...You know this baby is going to sound terrific! It delivers in all the right areas...crank up to maximum and enjoy!
Cover (Ex/Ex+) An absolutely sweet looking cover and is shiny like new. Front and back are nigh on perfect with little sign of ageing or creasing. The interior looks fantastic - way way better than what typically surfaces. Edge wear is extremely slight and the openings are lovely and sharp. Precious little sign of wear anywhere really. Spine is 100% perfect. Overall the cover retains perfect rigidity. A truly impressive original example and one that would be hard to better.
Inner (Ex+) Perfect in every way. No creasing, no ageing, no writing. No splits and corner perfectly square.
