A great selection of 10" 78rpm shellac Christmas records, all sleeved. Details of each disk are: Disk 1. Bing Crosby: White Christmas / Let’s start the New Year right Brunswick label, catalogue number 03384. Condition is VG: the disk still has a very good shine and only a few surface marks and light scratches (including a 1” long scratch on “New Year” that doesn't affect play). But when test played there is some distortion at times in the louder passages, indicating the disk has been well enjoyed over the years. Plain brown paper sleeve is in good condition with no splits or tears and no writing, just a little creasing. Disk 2: Bing Crosby: Silent Night Holy Night / Adeste Fideles Brunswick label, catalogue number 03929. Condition is EX- with a great shine and a couple of very light marks/scratches which don’t sound. Both sides play through very well with just the usual surface noise for a shellac disk of this age. Company sleeve which is a little tatty and has a 2” split at the base Disk 3: Belafonte: The twelve days of Christmas / Silent Night RCA label, catalogue number RCA-1085. Condition is VG as there are a  number of marks and light scratches visible, and there is an edge chip affecting both sides (see photos). This doesn’t affect play for “Twelve days” but it is very near the start of the track on “Silent Night” – however if you cue it in the right place you can hear it from the very beginning. Despite the visible markings and the quietness of the track, “Twelve days” plays through remarkably well with just the usual surface noise and no prominent clicking sounds. A few slightly more prominent clicks can be heard on “Silent Night” for a brief period towards the middle of the track. Plain brown paper sleeve with no splits but a couple of minor tears, some creases and some writing. Disk 4: Harry Belafonte: Mary’s Boy Child / Eden was just like this RCA label, catalogue number RCA-1022. Condition is EX- with a very good shine and just a few light surface marks. Both sides play through well with just the usual surface noise. Robust card sleeve branded “Mazel Radio” in very good condition with no splits or tears and no writing. Disk 5: Dickie Valentine: Christmas Alphabet / Where are you tonight Decca label, catalogue number F10628. “Christmas Alphabet” condition is EX- with a good shine and just a few surface marks which don’t affect play. Plays through very well with a good clear sound. “Where are you tonight?” is VG+ with a good shine but one small scratch mark which sounds faintly and briefly near the beginning of the track. The company sleeve is poor and tatty, with significant splits and tears (see images).
