An original 1st Issue on NEMS from 1976. By all means try and find a true 1st press from the year before on the Mooncroft label if you can. The label went bust in 1975 soon after this Lp was released. NEMS picked up the NAZ. So, whilst this copy might look like any generic copy from the NEMS period '75-'83...it is in fact very close to those early masters. I can vouch for the fact that the audio on this pressing is superb..! If you need it for top audio...well worth considering. Comes housed in an original cover. Only a plain generic inner - not the bespoke variety. There are no dates mentioned on the labels or the record cover - which is unusual. It makes me think the record company were in a rush to get this out into the shops.
Vinyl (Ex) IN superb condition and has only seen light use. I can only make out a couple of light marls per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation. You can definitely hear that this copy is not far from those original masters. The clarity, warmth, and precision are all there in the audio. For a good value alternative alternative to the 1st copy on Mooncroft - this is more than worthy of consideration. Plays clean most of the way through. All I could detect was a touch of light background in that low-key number on side 1 [The Randy Newman penned 'Guilty']. But even that's relatively minor. The very low-key opening to 'Don't Judas Me' plays clean and impressive. It's a cracker...don't miss out!
Cover (Ex) A real sweet looking cover. Shiny front and back without creasing. Minimal edge wear and the openings still sharp. Just a touch of slightest wear on spine, but text mostly still all legible.
