An original 1st issue of Meddle on the UK Harvest label from 1971. Matrix A3/B3. Please note the labels mention 'Gramophone' in the perimeter text and this is indicative of 1st issue. The vinyl comes housed in an original outer textured gatefold cover. Also included is the original generic white inner sleeve 'made in england'. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light markings per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback on Side 1. And a VERYGOOD+ level on side 2. Side 1 by and large plays back superbly and you really get a great feel for this classic Floyd album. Nice clean audio with the exception of a few moments in 'Fearless' where there's a few static crackles. Side 2 has, perhaps, seen slightly more use. I'm getting a bit of light background in places. Nothing invasive - mostly low-level but audible. Side 2 does not play as clean as side 1 - but is still  more than enjoyable. Overall a very fine player and more than capable of delivering this early 70's classic with aplomb.
Cover (Ex) In ridiculously good condition. Rarely will you see a Meddle cover at this standard. Front and back are perfectly clean without wear or creasing [exceptional]. The interior looks excellent with only very lightest traces of ageing. There's a couple of age spots on the right hand opening edge - but I'm being picky here! There's hardly any edge wear at all and the openings are still sharp - this is so so unusual on Meddle. The spine is 100% perfect - which is borderline miraculous. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (VG+) Light ageing with no splits.
