The BEATLES
ABBEY ROAD
Here is a 'one off' opportunity to own a near mint example of this iconic cover - It may or may not be a genuine manufacturers prototype - Either way, it is in fantastic condition and is better than any commercial issue you will ever be likely to find
(I will also include a first issue cover which is in nice condition, if you prefer to put that with this fantastic disc, instead)

This remarkable 1st pressing is about as good as it gets - beautifully preserved - comes with a unique 'Factory Sample' cover

1969 1st pressing PCS 7088 YEX 749-2 / 750-1 9/12-PGD / 4-MTO ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Visually:
Graded against reflected daylight which will show any significant imperfections - (there will always be wispy handling/bag removal lines under a search light)
EX+
The disc displays beautiful, deep gloss surfaces - just a few light lines on each side - this disc has been handled with great care

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Audio:
EX+
Never played on anything except the correct equipment, this disc delivers a near flawless performance - there is nothing to fault here except one gentle 'pop' at the very beginning of Octopus's Garden - that's all - perfect sounding with near silent run ins

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Labels:
EX+
In perfect condition - minimal spindle trails from a carefully aimed disc - both labels have the 33 indicator in a central position - side 2 does carry 'Her Majesty' on the label

         -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cover:
NEAR MINT            This could be an extremely well made reproduction or a genuine experimental cover which never went into commercial production - either way, it is in top condition and very professionally made - printed on very thick card, with a slightly rippled lamination similar to original EJ Day 'With The Beatles' covers - the images have a slightly lighter tone when compared to a commercial issue - the spine is perfect - corners are sharp - the thickness of the card has kept the whole thing in remarkably firm condition, stopping any corner stress bends, or 'half moons' at the opening - you can see from the photos how good it is and I doubt that any original, with its misaligned apple could ever be this perfect
Also included will be a commercial copy of this cover, which is in very good condition and is shown in the last 2 photos

   --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Inner sleeve:
EX+
Original, single die cut - fantastic condition for this very fragile item - just the beginning of one side seam split

       --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All records are thoroughly cleaned and I will of course, continue with the surreal requirement of separating the disc from the cover, even though they have been together now for over 50 years and have left a lasting impression :-)

I will be listing more Beatles records, so please have a look
