An original 1st issue from 1971 on the UK Decca label. Matrix 1D/2D - 1st cut. This LP was released shortly after the Stones navigated their way out of the 60's Decca contract. This pressing would have come from toward the end of the initial chart run. The vinyl comes housed in an original cover and a blue and white Decca poly-lined inner from 1971. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In beautiful condition and has clearly seen only light use. Under close inspection I couldn't make out more than a couple of lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. What's not to like! If you like Stones hits delivered in clean and unfettered high quality audio...then look no further. Very little to find fault with. "As Tears Go By" - the tricky one...plays clean as a whistle! A clean player throughout which has only seen light use. A beaut of a copy with just a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. Spin and enjoy!
Cover (Ex) I've just taken this copy out of the original shrink-wrap hence the superb preservation level. A pristine shiny looking front with barely a crease. The rear, which is the usual problem area, is pretty much unaged. There's just a bit at the opening - but it's pretty negligible. There's very little edge wear at all and the openings are still sharp. The spine is 100% intact and overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) Touch of lightest ageing. No splits. Very clean and tidy.
