The Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers – COC 59100
Original 1971 UK rare GATEFOLD sleeve that opens up and Excellent A4/B4 vinyl
Visually inspected and described using "Record Collector" grading system as a guide (see below).
Condition:
Sleeve :Excellent
This is the rare open gatefold cover that perhaps was never intended
for the shops and may have been printed in a short run as a promo copy
for radio stations. OR, perhaps more likely, the factory made a mistake.
As Discogs says, 'A pressing error allowed a few copies of the iconic
Sticky Fingers to leave the factory with a gatefold sleeve instead of
the top opening sleeve.' Whatever the truth, very few were made! It's in
great condition with only light marks and rubbing here and there. There are minor creases in the usual places - just around the buckle at the
top. They are minor - see photos. On the front and back there is light signs of rubbing from
stacking against other records.
The pinched spine is in excellent condition.
The original inner sleeve with 'Made In England' in blue ink (not black
ink which became standard later). It is in excellent condition, intact, no tears and no
seam splits.
Insert: Excellent. Insert printed by Richard Davis Ltd
Record: Both sides look to be in excellent shape. Promotones credit on label. There are some very light marks only visible on close inspection. The record plays well with light background noise. Could benefit from a professional clean.
Matrix numbers:
Side 1: COC 59100 A4 - T.M.L. Rolling Stones Records
Side 2: COC 59100 B4 - T.M.L. Rolling Stones Records

Mint (M)
The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or
deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as
the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records
marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
Excellent (EX)
The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very
little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have
slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good (VG)
The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no
major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks
and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or
extra items, without any major defects is acceptable
Good (G)
Te record has been played so much that the sound quality has
noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild
scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of
edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc
Fair (F)
The record is still just playable but has not been cared for
properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The
cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
Poor (P)
The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface
noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly
missing
Bad (B)The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler
