An original 1969 stereo pressing of BTB's on UK Decca. Matrix 5K/5K. Pressed on nice solid 60's vinyl - not the later flimsy stuff. Note how the labels show an inverted tape number. This is very much a sixties throw-back and is not found on seventies pressings. I would estimate this copy was available for the Xmas market in 1969 - a couple of years after 1st release. The vinyl comes housed in an original stereo cover. Also included is the late sixties blue and white Decca inner sleeve [date coded to 10-69]. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks per side, and a couple of light trails marks - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations. BTB's can sound a bit naff on some later seventies copies. But bag a nice early copy - and it makes ALL the difference. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Interference is minimal and very fleeting indeed. It's a nice clean player by and large - and that is precisely what you're going to need to fully appreciate this particular Stones title. All I could detect background was some static background in 'Back Street Girl' and a few clicks. Do not expect this track to to play as clean as the rest of the LP. A couple of minor ticks in  'She Smiled Sweetly' & 'CCC' - and that really is all. It's a super rendition that's for sure.
Cover (Ex) So many of these sixties covers will be, quite frankly, knackered by this point in time. Why not get yourself a decent looking copy! The front is very nice and shiny with a couple of minor thumbnail creases and just a touch of wear at the opening. The rear has escaped the usual ageing you tend to find on this title - very impressive. Edge wear is pretty much absent and the openings are still sharp. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) A couple of age spots in a couple of places. No splits. Impressive.
