This is "MEAT IS MURDER" by The SMITHS, their 2nd studio album. This is something of a collector's piece as it is the original US version known as he "SPECIALITY" issue.
This "SPECIALITY" issue has the first track on side 2 missing from the titles on the back of the record cover. The label has SIRE at top right with the logo, ® instead of ™
This is the original US, 1st press LP of the "SPECIALITY" version, issued in 1985, and is documented on the DISCOGS website.

The LP is on the Pink SIRE (Rough Trade) record label, numbered 25769-1, and the matrix numbers in the vinyl runout are:

Side 1: 1 25269 A RE1 SR3 SRC Side 2: 1 25269 B RE1 SR2 SRC I use the "Record Collectors Grading System" which can be viewed on the Record Collector website.

I use "+" and "-" to provide a more precise grading, where a record sits between 2 grades.

(I only use MINT for new, unplayed records)

Audio Quality

During play test, it played superbly, like a new record, and is hence rated Near Mint for audio quality.

Visual Appearance

Visually the vinyl looks almost like new, with no visible spindle marks on the label.

The vinyl is rated as Near Mint for visual appearance

COVER

The cover is in excellent shape, particularly for a cover that is over 35 years old.

There is just some very minimal wear on the bottom corner, and a feint partial ring mark on the top of the back cover - please see photos.

Other than that, the cover is unmarked, and the spine is perfect.

The cover is rated a strong EX+ 

INNER SLEEVE
The inner sleeve contains the lyrics and is in excellent shape, and is rated a strong EX 

The record will be posted in a MusicMAX STRONG LOCKTAB  RECORD MAILER, with stiffeners
