An original 1st press of PS on the EMI custom labels from 1984. Matrix A1/B1 - very 1st cut. Etchings 'There's only one!' + 'Thats FUCK..' - redacted. Stamped 'STERLING'. The vinyl comes housed in an original textured/dimpled cover with EMI Records top left on the rear. Also included is the original lyric inner sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a few very superficial bag-rash type markings - absolutely nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with just one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Bags of energy and punch,, but lots of low-level detail thanks to that super quiet background. Very little to take issue with here - it's a really sweet player. All I could detect was a few isolated crackles in that midsection of "RIME" - the very quiet spoken word passage. Probably impossible to find this section playing perfectly quiet. Why risk a dud copy?... just get yourself an absolute banger!
Cover (Ex-) Beautiful untarnished surfaces with precious little creasing and totally flat. Edge wear is minor and the openings are still sharp. A bit of wear evident on the spine, but nothing bad. The text is pretty much still legible with some wear partially obscuring. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) very nice with just a one inch bottom edge split.
