THE MAIN COMPONENTS ARE MADE FROM CARDBOARD AND ARE OVER 50 YEARS OLD, SO THEY WILL SHOW SIGNS OF  HANDLING WITH SOME SURFACE LINES/MARKS BUT REALISTICALLY THIS SET WOULD BE VERY DIFFICULT TO UPGRADE
EVERY ITEM IS SOLID AND SQUARE, WITH NO BUMPED CORNERS, NO TEARS, NO THUMB BENDS AND NO CORNER CREASES IT IS DIFFICULT TO GRADE CARDBOARD ITEMS, SO I HAVE GIVEN A DETAILED DESCRIPTION BELOW, BUT YOU ONLY HAVE  TO LOOK AT THE PHOTOS TO SEE WHAT FANTASTIC CONDITION THE WHOLE SET IS IN

THE OUTER CASE
As fine an example as you are likely to find. Apart from a few stress lines on the back edge (as in the photo), this easily damaged item is near perfect. There are no thumb bends, no tears and no laminate lift. The case is uncrushed and stands firm when empty. Obviously there are a few handling lines and tiny marks on the panels which are unavoidable but also only really evident upon close inspection. These are usually found in such bad condition that replacement replicas are now being offered on-line, which only goes to show how hard it is to find an original as good as this one.

THE SLIP TRAY
Designed to house all of the contents, this thin card object is usually found in poor condition, or even missing from the set. You could be forgiven for assuming that this one was a modern replacement, but it is not. It is a genuine original in near mint condition, with just a little 'rubbing' where the unprotected underside has slid in and out of the case and also along the exposed sides (through storage). The top flaps are absolutely perfect. There are no thumb bends, no creases and no tears, anywhere. Near impossible to find a better example.

THE BOOK TRAY
The absolute 'jewel' in this box. This ridiculously fragile item is designed to house the very heavy book and as a result, it is at its most vulnerable where it meets the book corners. At best, it will normally show stress lines, or a partial tear. At worst, a complete separation at the corners, which usually results in a tape repair or the whole thing being thrown away. If you study the pictures, you can see that this one is in near perfect condition. There is a small 'rubbed' area, in one corner, which has always been there and is due to the black ink bleeding through the thin card, visible on the reverse side image, leaving a thinner coating on the finished side. That aside, the whole tray is in impossibly fantastic condition and is as solid as the day it was manufactured.

THE GET BACK BOOK Corrected version with fully printed credits page
164 glossy pages printed on quality paper and packed full of great colour photos and dialogue from the Get Back sessions. The book was only ever available as part of the box set and never sold separately. This copy is in immaculate condition, with no thumb bends, no stress lines and no loose pages. It is a stunning example. It will be sent in a new replacement tray and slip case, separated from the rest of the set, to protect the original items.

Plays like new. No pops or clicks. Lovely sounding disc. 


Visually:

Superb deep gloss surfaces that display just a few very light non sounding lines/wispy marks, mainly on side 2. Obviously, under a search light there are the wispiest signs that the disc has been handled but this is true of any vinyl record.


Labels:

Both labels are in top condition, with nothing more than the expected spindle trails from a disc that has been played.


Cover:
MINT-
Immaculate example, with no thumb bends, surface marks or lines, front and back.  Super glossy, with mirror-like laminated surfaces. There is a tiny crease on the back of the spine edge, visible in the two angled photos of the red apple but it is very mild. The spine is so thin that the lettering is wrapped around it. I think it would be impossible to find a better example.
