Barış Manço first released 3 singles between 1962 and 1963, with another 2 songs recorded at the time and released a few years later , a total of 8 songs were recorded in the period 1962-1963. In late 1963 Barış first went to France and Belgium to study. He released a 4 track EP in France, and then after a live appearence at the Paris Olympia om 12th Januar 1965 not much was heard from him again until he started releasing music again in 1966.

So what was he doing in 1965?

With the discovery of many hours of unreleased music transferred directly from the master taped from André Soulac's own collection (Barış Manço's songwriter partner at the time) we plan to take you on a journey of excellence. This first release concentrates on six tracks recorded in 1965 with the Golden Rollers and one demo recording.

We know that more songs were recorded around this time with this line up, but we have failed so far to find them, but we have clues and are actively searching. We don't have information about the musicians in this band; we do know that they backed Barış Manço for a short while. We hope you enjoy this little gem and we look forward to sharing unreleased Barış Manço with you. All recordings on this album are previously unreleased. (Tuna's Tunes)
