An original 1st press of the DEBUT from 1973 on EMI. Matrix 3/3 - 1st cut. Etching 'Kissy Poo & Again!'. Note how the side indicators on the label are vertical [not horizontal]. Original 1st pressings of the debut are not so easy to find - as it didn't enter the top 40 originally [only retrospectively]. The vinyl comes housed in an original non-laminated over with pinched spine - and double spine. These 1st issues are incredibly difficult to find in anything approaching decent condition. Also included is the original generic white inner sleeve. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a few very light marks per side, one or two very superficial radials - nothing heavy or troublesome [nothing entering the audio spectrum]. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback with one very slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. And this is both hard to find and very important on this title. You're going to need a clean player otherwise the quieter moments will soon become distracting. Lovely and clean into those acoustic/instrumental sections. Think 'Liar' etc...truly breath-taking clarity. All I could detect was a few crackles in one isolated spot per side. The only deviation was a couple of slight ticks in 'Alive' [absolutely no big deal]. Highly recommended!
Cover (Ex/Ex-) A total pain to find in even half decent condition. The unlaminated 1st issues are really difficult to find without surface wear. But this example is looking very fine indeed without the usual creasing or surface wear. The only vague issue on the front is a tiny amount of sticker residue in the extreme top left corner. The rear looks absolutely superb with no signs of wear or fading. Edge wear is extremely minor indeed and this is unusual. The openings are still sharpish and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Minimal ageing. No splits.
