RARE album by The Beatles titled "Sessions". 1985 Parlophone (not really!) – 064 2402701. The Beatles 'SESSIONS' ultra rare vinyl album (1985). Condition is "excellent" (very light surface marks and slight 'yellowing' of back cover, as it is a genuine 1985 pressing - Still plays like new)
When the Beatles contract with EMI expired in 1976, EMI went through their vaults to assess what tracks they had, which had not been released on any Beatles albums or singles, in the hope of issuing a compilation album. In 1985, after much searching, a dozen, or so completed tracks were discovered, remixed and cut as a test pressing, to be then passed on to Apple Corp. for final approval. After failed negotiations between EMI and Apple, the project was shelved. 10 years later, the 'SESSIONS' project again re-surfaced and evolved into the ANTHOLOGY series of CD's, cassettes, a book, and a made for television documentary series. THE REST IS HISTORY...
