An original 1st USA pressing from 1969 on the Atlantic label. Note label design is correct for late 1969. Importantly - labels still mention the original Atlantic address as '1841 Broadway'. The vinyl comes housed in an original textured gatefold cover. The cover mentions this '1841 Broadway' on the inside. We also have a generic white inner from the time so we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light inconsequential marks per side. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveal a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with just a couple of deviations. A beautiful player - really nice and clean. And you will be definitely needing that on this title. One of the fussiest Lps KC ever released. Excellent audio output in my opinion. Plays pretty clean into some of those super fussy moments. 'Talk to The Wind' plays really nice with good space and very little background. Perhaps just the infrequent odd static crackle and a couple of isolated ticks. Epitaph plays impressively clean - really nice. Moonchild is the other incredibly fussy tracks - to be frank - nearly all copies fail to play this section fully clean. I get a couple of clicks on the opening chord sequence. And a further couple of more minor ticks a bit later. But you know what - this copy is playing this super fussy track VERY clean. Possibly one of the cleanest renditions I've witnessed. In fact, the actual audio delivery is mind-blowing good and more than makes up for that one brief hiccup at the start. In the round I'd argue this in one beautifully preserved original copy. From a pure audio perspective - a bit of a humdinger. Recommended!
Cover (Ex-) Really nice looking flat without ageing or noticeable surface wear. The aesthetic is very much still in evidence. I can't make out a single crease back and front. Just one tiny surface scratch below the nose on the front. The rear looks superb with just a tiny wear patch down on the opening edge. The interior looks superb - not a whiff of ageing or wear. Edge wear is relatively light for this title. The openings are absolutely superb - firm and relatively unworn. All text on the spine is still fully legible with just a touch of wear in a couple of spots. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity in part thanks to the heavy card employed in manufacture.
Inner (Vg) A bit aged. A few splits.
