A very sought after release in the jazz world. 1st released on the Riverside in the USA label in autumn 1957.
What we have here is a UK pressed 1958 1st pressing.   And just to reiterate. NO COVER NO COVER NO COVER - only the vinyl<<<<<< UPGRADER?

Vinyl (Vg/Vg+) In great shape for a 1958 copy. Very heavy pressed as you would expect from this period. Has seen reasonably light use. I'm seeing a few light marks per side. Nothing nasty looking or likely to cause major issue. It's quite a clean player for the majority of the LP.
PLAYS mostly at VERYGOOD+ or ABOVE with just a couple of deviations. The LP starts off with Abide...I'm getting a touch of background and a couple of ticks. As soon as the opening section is through - we're straight into a much cleaner and higher standard or reproduction. You can tell immediately - this is a class act. Someone's done a great job on the recording. All the fidelity is there - and I'm not getting much background. The audio has excellent tonality - very revealing. A small mark causes roughly 6 ticks midway through 'Off Minor'. Overall, that's an excellent strike rate. And some great audio throughout - if you can forgive that slow start [Abide] & the clicks in 'Off Minor'. VERY listenable. This is no throw-away copy. To someone who knows their stuff - this is going to be VERY appealing. Perhaps pick up a cover at a later date - or make do with a reissue cover in the mean time.
