An original 1st STEREO press of OLDIES on the UK Parlophone label from 1966. Matrix 1G/1G - 1st cut. Note that publishing details are present on the left side of the label - which infers 1st issue. The vinyl comes housed in an original Stereo G&L cover. We also have an Emitex advertising inner sleeve too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen lightest use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of very lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Yesterday and Michelle - are the TEST tracks. Nearly all copies - even the good looking ones... play these with a touch of background. And this example is playing them super clean - which is extremely unusual. Yellow Submarine & Rigby play fantastic. All I could make out was a couple of crackles in a couple of spots per side. Highly recommended.
Cover (Ex-) Very well preserved with a nice clean and flat front - just a couple of minor thumbnail creases. The rear seems to have escaped most of the ageing process. The only thing I can make out, which is not visible from the shots, is some minute pin prick brown marks [not intrusive at all]. Edge wear is very limited and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Slightest ageing. One side split has been taped up.
