An original 1963 1st Stereo press of 'WOMAN' on USA Capitol [full frequency]. Matrix D4/D4. Bear in mind that 'stereo' was still very much a niche format at this point in time. Capitol Rainbow labels with no 'subsidiary text'. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original stereo hard card pasted cover. We also have the original Capitol inner too. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) Lovely condition particularly considering the vintage. A couple of light marks per side - nothing troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations per side. Nice and clean intros and inbetweens. It's jazz it's low-key so it needs to play relatively clean and have good ambience. The odd static crackle here and there [e.g. in Somebody Loves You & San Fran]. The only deviation is a touch of distortion creeping in occasionally during 'Salt Of  My Tears' & 'I'm A Woman'. Overall and given that's it's genuine '63 in stereo I'd argue a very fine performance.
Cover (Vg+) These original USA covers are gonna usually be looking pretty beleaguered by this point in tie. But this example is rather smart. Very nice clean and unaged front with no signs of ageing or wear. The rear has not succumbed to the usual levels of ageing - a bit in the odd spot [but not overtly obvious]. The spine seems full intact which must be quite unusual.
Inner (Vg) A bit split and has been taped. Well aged.
