The BEE GEES ODESSA  (2-record set)  came out on Atco Records in 1969.  This album came out several years before Saturday Night Fever.  Side 4 has First of May which was put out as a single with Lamplight on the B-side.  Melody Fair was also on the B-side for part of the time it was on the singles charts. The three songs came from ODESSA.  Besides the title song, Odessa, Marley Purt Drive  received notable comments. This was the Bee Gees only double album.  It is covered in red velvet with BEE GEES and ODESSA in gold lettering. A dispute on which song would be Side A for the single led to a temporary breaking up of the group when Robin's song was made the Side B song and he walked out. This album has gained acclaim in the new century after not being received that well when it came out. It is included in 1001 Albums Youi Must Hear Before You Die.
